82 Years Ago Today…Robert Warren Richey
Today is the birthday of my paternal grandfather, Robert “Bob” Warren Richey. He was born in Angelica, New York on July 29, 1926 to John Flur Richey and his wife Rhoda Mae Schabel Richey. He was the youngest of three boys. He was a father of three and an Army Air Corps aviator, a pilot, flight instructor, FAA air traffic controller, classic car, & motor home enthusiast. This photo is of him working in the tower as an air traffic controller. He enjoyed all these hobbies and more for the 69 years that he lived on this earth.
What a great pic of Papa at his finest! I still remember the kick he got out of letting us ride in the trailer behind the tractor. We were such hot stuff then! Ahhhh, good times… Aimee
