George W. Bush Damaged Conservatism

and assured that John McCain would not be elected by:
-Patriot Act
-Iraq War
-Economic Bailout of Mortgage Banks

The last strongholds of Limited Government and Humble Foreign Policy have departed leaving only “Pro-Life” as the litmus test of what a conservative is anymore. I don’t think our 43rd President did this with any malice, just the opposite. But the fact still remains that he did more to hurt the conservative identity than to help it.

Now it is time for the Conservatives to re-make themselves. I wish that they’d listen to people like Ron Paul more and less to people like John McCain. If the GOP is really “in exile” then let them think long and hard about what they did to deserve this.
